About Us

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away - I believe it was called "New Jersey" - lived a little girl named Michele. Her dear, sweet parents would teach her many things while growing up, but the skills Michele most enjoyed were carpentry from her Father and sewing from her Mother. At the young age of only nine, Michele began making her own clothes as well as her doll clothes. No one was surprised when Michele grew up to graduate college in Home Economics/Sewing Education - they all knew she had a calling. Ahh, this girl was destined to go far in life. And yes she did go far - Everyday actually, in the form of an airline stewardess. (DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING DID YOU?!) She toiled away for years, flying all over the world - oh, what a hardship, but all she really wanted to do was sew. As fate would have it, one day in her travels, she discovered this charming Victorian home. Michele knew this is where she would spend the rest of her days... Sewing, so all the people could view the world as she does - through beautifully designed, hand crafted custom made window treatments.

Michele Erceg established "Best Dressed Windows in Town" in 1986 and her business has grown steadily over the years due to her reputation for quality workmanship, creative designs and outstanding customer service. In addition to Michele's eye for detail and natural ability, she has the carpentry skills needed to conceptualize and follow through on any possible design idea.

This is old-world craftsmanship at its best! Upon entering her home and workshop you know this is more than just a job for this woman - not a detail is left unattended to - this is her passion! Her workshop is filled with product samples, hardware, photo albums to peruse and over 500 fabric and trim sample books!
